These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Grandlaw Partners website at grandlawpartners.com and the engagement of our legal services. By accessing the website or engaging us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or engage our services.
Grandlaw Partners is a Nigerian law firm with its principal office at 22 James George Street, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. References to "we", "us", "our", or "the Firm" mean Grandlaw Partners. References to "you" mean the user of the website or the prospective or actual client engaging our services.
Visiting this website, reading its content, or sending us an unsolicited enquiry through the contact form does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is established only after we have completed our conflicts check, agreed on the scope of our work, executed a written engagement letter, and received any retainer required.
Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each matter and the applicable law. For advice on a specific situation, please contact us to discuss a formal engagement.
Where we agree to act for you, the scope of work, fee arrangement, billing terms, and other relevant matters will be set out in a written engagement letter. Those terms, together with applicable rules of professional conduct, govern the relationship between us.
Our fees are agreed in advance with each client and set out in the engagement letter. We may charge on an hourly, fixed-fee, or retainer basis depending on the nature of the matter. Disbursements (court fees, agency fees, courier costs, and similar third-party charges) are billed at cost. Invoices are payable on the terms stated in the engagement letter.
We treat all client information as confidential and protected by legal professional privilege under Nigerian law. Before accepting any engagement, we run a conflicts check to confirm that we are not acting against existing or recent clients on related matters. If a conflict is identified, we will decline the engagement.
The content of this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by Grandlaw Partners or used with permission. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, republish, or distribute any content without our written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grandlaw Partners' liability for any matter, whether under an engagement letter or otherwise, is limited to the fees paid by the client in respect of that matter. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for losses arising from third-party platform decisions or events outside our reasonable control, or for losses arising from inaccurate information supplied to us by the client.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
These Terms and any matter arising out of your use of this website or engagement of our services are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, save where applicable law requires otherwise.
You may end an engagement with us at any time in writing, subject to fees and disbursements outstanding to the date of termination. We may also terminate an engagement on the grounds set out in our engagement letter or as required by the Rules of Professional Conduct.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
